Students at Wellesley College, a private women's liberal arts college in Massachusetts, voted Tuesday in support of a nonbinding referendum to allow transgender men and non-binary individuals to enroll, the New York Times reported. Wellesley College, whose alumnae include Hillary Clinton and Madeleine Albright, was founded in 1870 as a school for "women who will make a difference in the world." It currently enrolls more than 2,300 students, according to its website. This week, students voted to support a referendum to change the college's admissions policy to allow transgender men and non-binary people to enroll. The ballot initiative also seeks to adopt more "inclusive" language, such as using the word "students" or "alumni" instead of "women."
